A new reference note at an earlier Lingo address.
The earlier programme page was a way into Lingo’s Dublin spoken-word festival. Contemporary listings and the surviving 2015 programme describe a mixture of readings, open mics, poetry slams, workshops and performances. These formats brought words into shared rooms rather than treating a poem only as something printed on a page.
The 2016 opening night is documented by Near FM, which announced a live broadcast from the Workman’s Club on 21 October. Its account describes performances and interviews, as well as the annual slam. It names Sage Francis as that year’s headline artist and explains the role of the slam within the programme.
A 2015 programme is indexed at a historical Poetry Ireland address. Direct retrieval of that file was unavailable during this rebuild; the historical link is retained below alongside other records. It should be read as a record of October 2015, rather than as a schedule for a future event. A later research podcast from Poetry Off the Page examines Lingo’s performances and legacy.
This is a new overview at the earlier programme address. The original page’s full contents have not been recovered. The archive preserves the historical topic and points to the evidence that can still be consulted.
